Do you find yourself asking . . .

“Help! My client is talking about suicide! What do I do?” Or “I’m scared I won’t respond to the potential situation that my client/someone my client knows is thinking about suicide, and I want to be prepared.”

Are you worried you don't have the life-saving tools to appropriately respond in crisis to a client or to a client's loved ones?

Please don’t D.I.E.
[Death + Intent + Experience]

Your first priority is to determine if the situation is critical or high risk.
There are three areas where if the answer is YES to any of these questions, the person might be in a dangerous place.

Have you been contemplating death?

Are you thinking about suicide?
Tell me about it.

What do you mean that you
wish it were all over?

Do you have a plan?

How would you carry out this plan?

Why would you take your life?

Have you attempted before?

How did you cope with it then?

Who would miss you?

If the answer is YES to any of these questions, get help!
